Snow Information
The LVII community mirrors plowing based on VDOT’s guideline, meaning that plowing begins on the major arteries once two inches of snow have fallen. Just as a reminder, snow is not removed, merely plowed to one side. Major roads are plowed first, then the secondary ones. Only roadways are plowed, usually not the driveways or alleys which are often too narrow for the trucks to maneuver through. Sidewalks are shoveled by residents per Loudoun County ordinance.
Please report Virginia road hazards or ask road-related questions, 24/7.
